A daughter is just a little girl who grows up to be your best friend, and writing partner!

Mothers and daughters have such a special bond. And that’s the case with my daughter, Avery, and I. As a bonus, my daughter is a writer, too. She’s a screenwriter to be exact and that comes in so handy when your book-to-film agent asks if you would be interested in adapting THE FAVORITE DAUGHTER. Why no, that though terrifies me. But with my daughter’s encouragement, we said yes and the result was a wonderful experience for both of us. Hopefully, the script will find a home, but either way. Avery and I have discovered a wonderful way of working together. It’s awesome. We’re tackling another one of my novels next. Stay tuned! And, for a limited time, THE FAVORITE DAUGHTER ebook is on sale for just $2.99 EXCLUSIVELY on Amazon.

I'm so excited to share Scott and Jamie's story of happy ever after in Laguna Sights, Laguna Beach Book 4! This is a stand-alone novel and here's the scoop: Once you're a star, can you trust other people’s intentions?  Scott Cassidy has lived a blessed life. Growing up in Laguna Beach with a loving family, he was discovered in high school when he appeared on the popular reality TV show, Laguna Nights. Now cast as a doctor on the number one soap opera, his star keeps rising. Finally free from his long-term girlfriend, Scott isn’t looking for love, but when a popular dating app matches him with Jamie Kane, he can’t deny the sparks. But is she really everything she seems? Jamie Kane isn’t lucky in love or life. Her childhood was tumultuous with a single mom who moved to Hollywood for fame but ended [...]

City of Love, contemporary romance novel, out now!

By |2023-02-06T23:41:55+00:00March 2, 2016|book|Comments Off on City of Love, contemporary romance novel, out now!

I'm so excited to share that City of Love, part of Melissa Foster's Remington's Kindle World, is out now for your Kindle (Amazon only!).  The book is a part of a big release, sixteen stories all tied together. Kindle Worlds are such a fun escape for me as a writer because I have a chance to create  characters who get to have fun and romance in the city of New York, a completely different setting than my beach-based stories. It's also great to work in conjunction with all of these talented authors to grow a great world. I hope you'll give City of Love, and all these wonderful stories a read!                      More about City of Love: Her heart is empty in the new life she’s living. Charlotte Taylor knows she’s gorgeous. She’s been told that [...]

It’s almost a new year! Put the Real You in your business in 2008!

By |2023-02-07T13:35:56+00:00December 27, 2007|book, inspiration, new year, new you, Real You Incorporated, realisms|Comments Off on It’s almost a new year! Put the Real You in your business in 2008!

There are many firsts in life: the first day of school, the first day on the job and the first of the year, as in January 1—or New Year’s Day. All of these firsts represent a chance to make a change in your life. Sort of a line in the sand kind of thing. Once, crossed, you can never go back. (Since I love beaches, I always try to work in the sand analogy, fyi.) Anyway, back to the opportunity of a New Year. Make 2008 exactly the way you imagined it for yourself and your business – or the one you’re about to begin even while toiling away for someone else. Because when it comes to running a business, turning over the calendar to a new year often means taking a closer look at what’s working and what’s not. Depending on your situation, it [...]

The waiting game . . .

By |2023-02-07T13:42:03+00:00December 24, 2007|book, Christmas, kids, Real You Incorporated, women|Comments Off on The waiting game . . .

In the last post I wrote about what it's like to write a book. It was an amazing process. For more, check that post. What stage am I in now? The big waiting stage. Since submitting my final galley proofs to Wiley, my publisher, I'm pretty much on hold until Real You Incorporated http://realyouincorporated.com/ is out in mid-February. My publisher is busy, though. They are doing all of the work of producing the book, and told me it should ship from the warehouse in New Jersey on January 25th. From there, booksellers who have ordered copies of the book should find it arriving in their stores. Online retailers - amazon.com, borders.com, bn.com, and booksamillion.com, could receive copies sooner. Hopefully, your favorite online and/or real world bookstore will have the book available February 15th. It's also being distributed to Canada, the UK and Singapore, which I [...]
